What I have done: I have been a member of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service for the past 21 years, serving at a number of operational stations and locations. I was "invited" by the former Chief Fire Officer, Norman Dickerson, to attend a meeting with him in 1990 at the Fire Service College and have been on board with the Trust ever since. What I do now: Since 1990 my roles have included Training Department, Fire Safety, Recruitment, Station Commander and Staff Officer duties. I am presently responsible for all equipment within the Brigade, from the initial purchase to maintenance and disposal. My role in the Museum is in the administration side, undertaking research and providing information to the Trustees etc.
