On the run with County Borough of Hastings Fire Brigade until the late 1960s, this Austin Towing Vehicle has a well laden appearance. These stalwart vehicles served on in many brigades as Salvage, Foam or Chimney Tenders, or indeed reserve Pumps for many years beyond their intended life.            (Maurice Cole)
